Origination". The name recalls the Galant FTO coupé of 1971, one of the company’s first sports cars. The 6A1 engine mounted in the FTO is basically the same as the 6A12-DOHC-MIVEC engine mounted on the 1997 Galant. A well-balanced output characteristic is exerted in all operation regions with the variable valve mechanism (MIVEC)
