The Toyota Paseo (also known as the Cynos) was a sporty economy car released in 1991 and was loosely based on the Toyota Tercel.

The following service and repair procedure apply for 1994 Toyota Paseo Automatic Transmission System. Herein you will find detail information about service intervals, fluid level checking procedures and requirements, recommended fluid, draining and refilling, adjustment, shift cable, throttle cable, etc. Some FWD models have separate drain plugs for transmission and differential. Both transmission and differential plugs must be removed to drain all fluid from both units. Transaxle is filled through dipstick tube, and differential is filled through a separate fill plug.
