Resetting Nokia N9
If in case your phone is not working properly, you can reset some settings to their original setting / factory setting. To reset your Nokia N9, do the following steps:
- End all active calls and connections.
- Select and Reset > Restore settings.
- If prompted, enter the security code.
After restoring the original settings, the phone switches off, and then on again. This may take longer than usual. Restoring factory settings does not affect personal data stored on your phone, such as: contacts, calendar entries, documents, music, messages, or notes, internet bookmarks, accounts, security codes, or passwords.
If your phone stops responding, you can restart it by pressing and holding the power key for at least 8 seconds. To switch your phone on again, press and hold the power key. No content, such as contacts or messages, is deleted.
Nokia N9 Data Back Up Procedures
You can create backups of the phone memory. Select
and Sync and backup > Backup. It is recommended that you back up the phone memory regularly. Tip: To restore a backup, select the backup file to restore and Restore, and follow the displayed instructions. Please note that you may not be able to restore some installed applications.
