The 2002 Acura RSX is powered by a 1,998 cc 4 in-line front engine with 86 mm bore, 86 mm stroke, 9.8 compression ratio, double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder, producing power: SAE and 119 kW , 160 HP @ 6,500 rpm; 141 ft lb , 191 Nm @ 4,000 rpm. The 2002 Acura features multi-point injection fuel system, anti-lock brake system, immobilizer system, and strut front suspension with stabilizer bar independent with coil springs , wishbone rear suspension with stabilizer bar independent with coil springs.

The Acura EL was first introduced as a compact entry-level luxury car in 1996 by Honda. It was a replacement for the 4 door Acura Integra sedan whose sales were discontinued in Canada after 1997. The 1997 Acura EL is powered by 1,590cc, water-cooled, 4-stroke SOHC VTEC gasoline engine with cylinder arranged in inline-4 transverse.
