The midsize sedan segment will soon have a new competitor roaming the street. The slick, modern, and urban looking Ford Fusion offer a classy family ride. The Fusion undertook a massive makeover. It’s elegant yet sporty appearance shows off low front grille, sleek draw backed head lights, larger windows, and an early sloping roofline that resembles a coupe. Inside, the cabin gives ample room for five passengers.
With a stylishly sculpture and muscular look, under the hood it comes in several options. The basic fuel powered motor is a 179 hp generating 1.60 Liter EcoBoost, paired with a 6 speed drivetrain. A 2.0 Liter EcoBoost powertrain can be hooked to an all-wheel drive transmission. A 2.5-Liter I-4 engine is also available, scoring 37 mpg fuel economy on the highway. Other powerplant alternatives are the hybrid and plug-in hybrid electric. Using lithium ion batteries, the car’s electric only top speed can get to around 62 mph.
