The Kia Rio is a subcompact car produced by the South Korean automaker Kia Motors, first introduced in August 2000 for the 2001 model year. The 2009 Rio is a 4-door, 5-passenger family sedan, available in 3 trims, Base, LX and SX. The Base and SX trims are powered by a standard 1.6-liter, I4, 110-horsepower engine that achieves 27-mpg in the city and 33-mpg on the highway.
