My name is Joanna.I have Dodge Caliber R/T 2.4 L (dual VVT) 2008, total millage 96000 km and I have a problem with my car for some time.
Nobody here, in Poland can solve the problem.
When the engine is cold it makes a little noise and it works irregularly. When I come do the crossroads and stop at the traffic lights the engine stops very often. Engine rpm is close to zero, then gets higher, then lower. It takes some time and in the end it stays normal.
Mechanic says that the car needs valve adjustment.
I made a phone call to Dodge Services in Poland (Pozna?, Wroc?aw, Zabrze…) but nobody wants to mend the engine, because in Poland they do not have any car with that engine. Only one service decide to help me but they need instructions what to do or how to do valve adjustment.
Plesae help me, send the instructions.

    Best regards

We have a 2007 Dodge Caliber and sporactically when you turn the key to start the engine it will not do anything, but if I jump it, it will start. I replaced the battery thinking it wasn’t holding a charge. Even after replacing battery it is doing the same thing.
