The Pontiac GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato) was an automobile built by Pontiac Division of General Motors from 1964 to 1974, and by GM subsidiary Holden in Australia from 2004 to 2006. The 2006 Pontiac GTO has a 400-hp V8 and a 4-speed automatic transmission (5,970 cc 6 liters V 8 front engine with 101.6 mm bore, 92 mm stroke, 10.9 compression ratio, overhead valve and two valves per cylinder LS2). A 6-speed manual is optional. ABS, traction control, 18-inch aluminum wheels, illuminated steering-wheel radio controls, and a limited-slip differential are standard.
