2006 Yamaha YZ450FW Workshop Manual
This workshop manual applies for 2006 Yamaha YZ450FW series which is available in four different languages, English, French, German and Italian. This manual is divided into 7 chapters. Chapter 1 contains General Information such as machine identification location, important and safety information, checking of connection, special tools necessary for repair and assembly, control functions, fuel, starting and break-in, cleaning and storage.
Chapter 2 contains detail specification information of the engine. This includes topics on general specification, maintenance specification, general torque specification, units’ definition, lubrication diagram, and cable routing diagrams.
In Chapter 3 you will be guided on Regular Inspection and Adjustment, this includes maintenance interval, pre-operation inspection and maintenance, engine, chassis, and electrical system.
Chapter 4 focus on the engine, here you will find brief illustration and description of the engine which includes Seat, Fuel Tank and Side Cover, Exhaust Pipe and Silencer, Radiator, Carburetor, Camshaft, Cylinder Head, Clutch, Oil Filter, CDI Magneto and etc.
Chapter 5 discussion the Chassis, this includes front wheel and rear wheel, front brake and rear brake, handle bar and steering, swing arm, and rear shock absorber.
In Chapter 6 you will be guided through the electrical system and components. This chapter also discusses MAP of the CDI Unit, Ignition System, and TPS (Throttle Position Sensor). In the last chapter you will be guided on how to perform tuning, either chassis or machine.
